COVID-19 Information

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

In-person visits:

We are currently in the office seeing patients for sick visits, annual physicals, follow ups, and more. We are focused on the protection of both our patients and our staff.  Exams rooms are wiped down in between patients and there are sanitizer bottles located in every room, including right outside the front door so you can sanitize before and after your visit. As the sign on our front door reads, nobody is permitted to enter the office without an appointment unless authorized by the staff. This is just one step we are taking to help limit patient interaction in our waiting room.

Telemedicine appointments:

We also provide the option for patients to have a virtual visit with the doctor for both sick visits and checkups. Please call the office for more information or if you would like to change your in-person visit to a telemedicine one. Please be advised that some medical issues require an in-person visit.

COVID-19 Testing

While our office does not provide direct testing for COVID-19 at our facility, we are set up with a local laboratory. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, please call the office to set up a telemedicine appointment.

Flu and COVID-19

Much is still unknown about the COVID-19 virus, but scientists say it is likely that people can get COVID-19 and the flu at the same time. Having just one of these viruses can be dangerous for your health, especially if you are already a high-risk patient. Therefore, one of the most effective ways to protect yourself is with the flu vaccine. We provide both the High Dose flu vaccine for those 65 years and older, as well as the Flublok for those 18-65. Patients over 65 may request the Flublok if they wish to have a vaccine that is egg-free and preservative-free. To keep patient interaction in our waiting room limited, those who wish to come in for just the flu vaccine must call ahead as opposed to our usual walk-in policy.
